These artistic knives are a knife collectors dream. 73 gorgeous zen like layers are painstakingly crafted by the layering of two beautiful but totally different Nickel rich steels SUS 410 and SUS 304. This combination of steel creates a rich, captivating pattern alternating from matte gray to silver throughout the surface of the blade. Each knife is truly a work of art and unique in design. This collection exemplifies the finest of Japanese Damascus craftsmanship.

More than collectible investments these knives are ultra thin, strong useable, high performance art. The core is high carbon tool steel SKD 11 which takes and holds a razor edge and contributes a wonderful silky feel to each effortless cut. SKD 11 has a high Rockwell hardness rating of 62. Each knife is hand honed to a fine working edge. These Oishi 73 layer come fitted with a comfortable black western style wood handle. Balance is perfect.
